A00 aluminium ingot price in China drops by RMB90/t; Alumina price went up by RMB10/t

On Friday, December 9, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has declined by RMB 90 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,260 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,240 per tonne to RMB 19,280 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 10 to a premium price of RMB 30 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price witnessed a change in all the major provinces. As per the data, in Foshan and Gongyi, the prices recorded a drop of RMB 130 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,200 per tonne and RMB 19,040 per tonne. In Wuxi and Chongqing, the A00 aluminium ingot price slumped by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,245 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne. On the same day, the price in Hangzhou climbed down by RMB 85 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,270 per tonne. The prices in Shenyang and Linyi have decreased by RMB 70 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,230 per tonne, respectively.   In Tianjin, the price moved down by RMB 30 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,300 per tonne.

On the other hand, the average alumina spot price has increased by RMB 10 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,874 per tonne. In Shandong and Guizhou, the alumina price climbed up by RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,800 per tonne and RMB 2,805 per tonne. As per the SMM data, prices in Shanxi and Guangxi hiked by RMB 15 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,920 per tonne and RMB 2,800 per tonne. In Henan, the price closed at RMB 2,945 per tonne after recording a growth of RMB 2,945 per tonne. Only in Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the prices remained unchanged, settling at RMB2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,900 per tonne.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has slumped by RMB 129 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,798 per tonne. The high purity aluminium price (99.99%) and the high purity aluminium price (99.996%) have decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 27,200 per tonne and RMB 28,200 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) has declined by RMB 100 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,400 per tonne, RMB 20,400 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 19,300 to RMB 19,500 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A356), the average may range between RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloy (A380) may stand between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne.
