A00 aluminium ingot price in China gains RMB140/t; Alumina spot price ascends by RMB5/t

According to the SMM data, on Thursday, July 27, China's A00 aluminium ingot price surged by US$140 per tonne to close at RMB 18,490 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0 to RMB 40 per tonne, and the average prices are expected to stand between RMB 18,470 per tonne to RMB 18,510 per tonne.

The domestic A00 aluminium ingot prices have grown for the sixth consecutive day, with the highest recorded in Linyi and Hangzhou by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 150 per tonne, to settle at RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,500 per tonne. On the same day, prices in both Tianjin and Wuxi have gained RMB 140 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,470 per tonne and RMB 18,490 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot prices in Chongqing and Shenyang have hiked by RMB 120 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,480 per tonne and RMB 18,430 per tonne. Gongyi and Foshan's prices have ascended by RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has gained RMB 80 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,106 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have spiked by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 25,900 per tonne and RMB 26,900 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price in China has climbed up by RMB 5 per tonne to stop at RMB 2,864 per tonne. The prices in regions like Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Guizhou and Guangxi have marked the same price hike of RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,815 per tonne, RMB 2,895 per tonne, RMB 2,875 per tonne, and RMB 2,855 per tonne.

According to the SMM data, the price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) has expanded by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) may range between RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne. For (A380) the average prices may stand between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A356), it has ascended by RMB 150 per tonne to close at RMB 19,100 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne.
