On Thursday, December 22, the average alumina spot price has grown by RMB 7 per tonne to close at RMB 2,920 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Shandong and Shanxi have gone up by RMB 10 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,895 per tonne and RMB 2,960 per tonne. As per the data, both Guizhou and Guangxi also experienced the same price hike to reside at RMB 2,835 per tonne and RMB 2,840 per tonne. On the other hand, the prices in Henan, Lianyungang and Bayuquan remained unchanged to score at RMB 2,960 per tonne, RMB 2,875 per tonne and RMB 2,930 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}The A00 aluminium ingot price on the same day has also climbed up by RMB 40 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,820 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 140 to RMB 180 per tonne. The average prices are expected to stand between RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 18,840 per tonne.
In Wuxi, the price has gained RMB 75 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,795 per tonne. Provinces like Foshan and Hangzhou closed at RMB 18,830 per tonne and RMB 18,810 per tonne after recording a growth of RMB 70 per tonne. In Chongqing, the A00 aluminium ingot price has climbed up by RMB 60 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,830 per tonne. In Tianjin and Linyi, the prices closed at RMB 18,820 per tonne, and RMB 18,790 per tonne after recording an ascend of RMB 40 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium in China has increased by RMB 70 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,412 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) price has hiked by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,000 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 19,800 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne.
