On Tuesday, April 2, the average alumina spot price in China lost RMB 2 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,299 per tonne. As per the SMM data, W-o-W, a fall of RMB 14 per tonne was witnessed from RMB 3,313 per tonne, as recorded on March 26. As of today, the prices in Henan and Shanxi have dropped by RMB 5 per tonne to score at RMB 3,320 per tonne and RMB 3,265 per tonne. However, the alumina prices have been experiencing a continuous downfall since March 25. The price on March 25, 2024, had stood at RMB 3318, followed by a fall of RMB 5 per tonne the next day.
China’s A00 aluminium ingot price
On the same day, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price hiked by RMB 60 per tonne to RMB 19,580 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,560 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 70 per tonne. The price in Linyi has expanded by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 19,600 per tonne.
As per the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), the prices in Gongyi and Foshan have added RMB 70 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,490 per tonne and RMB 19,520 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Wuxi, Hangzhou and Shenyang ascended by RMB 60 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,570 per tonne, RMB 19,580 per tonne and RMB 19,500 per tonne. In Chongqing and Tianjin, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have increased by RMB 50 per tonne and RMB 40 per tonne, arriving at RMB 19,470 per tonne and RMB 19,530 per tonne.
Other prices
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 70 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,463 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have gained RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 27,000 per tonne and RMB 28,000 per tonne, respectively. The aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.1 per kg to settle at RMB 22.1 per kg.
The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have grown by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 20,400 per tonne. For (A380) the average price may orbit between RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has grown by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,150 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.
