Average alumina spot price in China drops to RMB2,867/t; A00 aluminium ingot price falls by RMB10/t

On Tuesday, May 23, China's average alumina spot price has dipped by RMB 8 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,867 per tonne. The price in Shandong has fallen by RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 2,875 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices in Henan and Shanxi have dipped by RMB 10 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,935 per tonne and RMB 2,865 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has also dropped by RMB 10 per tonne to score at RMB 18,360 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,380 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 130 to RMB 170 per tonne.

On the same day, the prices in Linyi and Tianjin have slumped by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,360 per tonne and RMB 18,340 per tonne. In Chongqing and Gongyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has slipped by RMB 30 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,360 per tonne and RMB 18,210 per tonne. In Foshan and Shenyang, the prices have descended by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,320 per tonne and RMB 18,400 per tonne.

The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has decreased by RMB 8 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,925 per tonne. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A356) price have shown no change to close at RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A380) price has also shown no change at RMB 19,600 per tonne.
