On Tuesday, December 13, the average alumina spot price in China went up by RMB 15 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,897 per tonne. The price in Shandong and Bayuquan has climbed up by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne to settle at RMB 2,850 per tonne and RMB 2,930 per tonne. On the same day in Guangxi, the alumina price recorded a growth of RMB 15 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,815 per tonne. As per the data, prices in Henan and Shanxi moved up by RMB 10 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,960 per tonne and RMB 2,940 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price grew by RMB 5 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,810 per tonne. Only in Lianyungang, the price remained restrained at RMB 2,875 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}On the other hand, China’s A00 aluminium ingot decreased by RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,920 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 18,940 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.
The price in Hangzhou witnessed a fall of RMB 300 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,970 per tonne, followed by Wuxi, where the price slumped by RMB 295 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,950 per tonne. A00 aluminium ingot price in Gongyi, Foshan and Shenyang dropped by RMB 50 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,740 per tonne, RMB 18,840 per tonne and RMB 18,890 per tonne. In Chongqing, the price slipped by RMB 20 per tonne to score at RMB 18,980 per tonne. In Linyi and Tianjin, the prices have dipped by RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,920 per tonne and RMB 18,970 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium in China has declined by RMB 315 per tonne to close at RMB 19,483 per tonne. The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price, aluminium alloy (A356) price, and aluminium alloy (A380) price have remained restrained to settle at RMB 19,300 per tonne, RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.
