On Tuesday, May 28, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gained RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,030 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount of RMB 140 to RMB 100 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 21,010 per tonne and RMB 21,050 per tonne.
Region wise price change
As per the SMM data, the prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Hangzhou have hiked by RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,960 per tonne, RMB 21,010 per tonne and RMB 21,020 per tonne. On the same day, in regions like Chongqing and Shenyang the domestic aluminium ingot price added RMB 120 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,970 per tonne and RMB 20,930 per tonne. In areas like Linyi and Tianjin, the aluminium ingot prices ascended by RMB 100 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to dock at RMB 21,010 per tonne and RMB 20,950 per tonne.
Alumina prices
The average alumina spot price has expanded by RMB 30 per tonne to close at RMB 3,908 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the prices have grown in all the provinces except in Bayuquan and Lianyungang, where it has remained unchanged at RMB 3,965 per tonne and RMB 3,955 per tonne. In Shandong and Henan, the prices have grown by RMB 30 per tonne to arrive at RMB 3,890 per tonne and RMB 3,900 per tonne. In Shanxi, Guizhou and Guangxi, the alumina prices have witnessed the same price hike (RMB 30) to settle at RMB 3,915 per tonne, RMB 3,905 per tonne and RMB 3,940 per tonne.
Other prices
Not only the aluminium ingot prices but also the prices of other related products have seen significant changes. The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 84 per tonne to reach RMB 21,989 per tonne. On the same day, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price ascended by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 28,400 per tonne and RMB 29,400 per tonne, respectively.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has gained RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,550 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 21,400 per tonne and RMB 21,700 per tonne. For aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) the prices have moved up by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,550 per tonne and RMB 21,550 per tonne. For (ADC12) the average prices may stand between RMB 20,450 per tonne and RMB 20,650 per tonne. For (A380), the average price is expected to orbit between RMB 21,450 per tonne and RMB 21,650 per tonne.
