China’s A00 aluminium ingot price augments by RMB210/t on alternate days this week; Alumina spot price slumps by US$1/t

The current aluminium price in China has halted at RMB 18,600 per tonne, with a stark increase of RMB 210 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market reported on May 18, Thursday. The average aluminium price trends are between RMB 18,580 per tonne and RMB 18,620 per tonne. The premium prices have ranged around RMB 170 per tonne or RMB 130 per tonne.

The eight provinces in China have marked augmenting prices today, with the highest recorded increment in Tianjin by RMB 200 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,580 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium price has soared RMB 190 per tonne, closing at RMB 18,620 per tonne, followed by RMB 185 per tonne spike in Wuxi, stopping at RMB 18,600 per tonne. In Chongqing, the aluminium price has heightened by RMB 180 per tonne to close at RMB 18,600 per tonne. The places like Gongyi, Foshan and Linyi have all experienced RMB 160 per tonne influx to officially close at RMB 18,470 per tonne, RMB 18,610 per tonne and RMB 18,600 per tonne. Lastly, in Shenyang, the aluminium price has escalated by RMB 100 per tonne, settling at RMB 18,390 per tonne.

Low-carbon aluminium prices have augmented by RMB 157 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 19,195 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have both shot up RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 26,200 per tonne and RMB 27,200 per tonne, respectively.

The average alumina spot price has decreased by RMB 1 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 2,875 per tonne. In Guangxi, it has rolled down to RMB 2,780 per tonne, with a loss of RMB 5 per tonne. 

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has heightened by RMB 200 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,400 per tonne, while the price of aluminium alloy (A360) has glided up by RMB 300 per tonne, resting at RMB 19,650 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (ADC12) has gone up RMB 100 per tonne, resting at RMB 18,700 per tonne.

The aluminium powder price in China has increased by RMB 0.20 per kg, closing at RMB 20.40 per kg, with average prices circulating between RMB 20.30 per tonne and RMB 20.50 per tonne.
