On Thursday, January 11, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price dropped by RMB 110 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,100 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0 to RMB 40 per tonne. The average prices may stand between RMB 19,080 per tonne and RMB 19,120 per tonne.
In Foshan, the domestic aluminium ingot price has dropped by RMB 120 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,140 per tonne. As per the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) data, the prices in Gongyi, Wuxi and Hangzhou have slipped by RMB 110 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,040 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne, respectively. In Chongqing, Tianjin, and Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have also experienced the same drop of RMB 110 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,150 per tonne. In Shenyang, the price has descended by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,120 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has decreased by RMB 107 per tonne to stop at RMB 19,892 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to reside at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price has added RMB 2 per tonne to reach RMB 3,327 per tonne. The price in Guangxi has grown by RMB 10 per tonne, settling at RMB 3,360 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) price has fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,750 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has increased by RMB 0.1 per kg to settle at RMB 21.7 per kg, with the average prices between RMB 21.6 per kg and RMB 21.8 per kg.
