A00 aluminium ingot price has gained RMB 30 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 18,510 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on May 4, Thursday. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,490 per tonne and RMB 18,530 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne. The aluminium price is on an upward trajectory after the long market holidays observed honouring Worker’s Day in China.
{alcircleadd}The eight provinces in China have witnessed escalating prices today, with the aluminium price in Gongyi and Foshan heightening by RMB 30 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,430 per tonne and RMB 18,630 per tonne, respectively. In Tianjin, the aluminium price also spiked by RMB 30 per tonne, standing at RMB 18,560 per tonne, the same price as Tianjin, the only Chinese province with no price alteration today. Other than that, in Wuxi and Hangzhou, the aluminium prices have halted at RMB 18,505 per tonne and RMB 18,530 per tonne, with RMB 20 per tonne rise. Lastly, the aluminium prices in Chongqing and Shenyang have jumped RMB 10 per tonne upward, closing at RMB 18,630 per tonne and RMB 18,540 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has augmented by RMB 30 per tonne, officially closing at RMB 19,202 per tonne.
The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have remained stoic at their last acquired position.
The Guinea Bauxite CIF price has slumped by RMB 6.91 per tonne to stop at RMB 455.76 per tonne.
The average alumina spot price has shed RMB 1 per tonne, settling at RMB 2,894 per tonne. The alumina price in Shanxi has lost RMB 5 per tonne, resting at RMB 2,905 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has stooped down by RMB 34.53 per tonne to close at RMB 2,403.08 per tonne officially.
The price of caustic soda (32% concentration) in Guangxi has plummeted by RMB 300 per tonne to stop at RMB 3,700 per tonne finally.
