On Monday, June 24, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has slumped by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,260 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80 to RMB 40 per tonne. The average price for the same day is likely to orbit between RMB 20,240 per tonne and RMB 20,280 per tonne.
Region-wise price fall
As per the SMM data, the prices have dropped in all the major provinces, with the highest in Tianjin, where it has descended by RMB 180 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,310 per tonne, followed by a fall of RMB 160 per tonne at Gongyi and Foshan. The prices in Gongyi and Foshan have settled at RMB 20,130 per tonne and RMB 20,070 per tonne. In Wuxi, Hangzhou and Chongqing, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have fallen by RMB 150 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,250 per tonne, RMB 20,260 per tonne and RMB 20,170 per tonne. The prices in Shenyang and Linyi have decreased by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to dock at RMB 20,240 per tonne and RMB 20,260 per tonne.
Other prices
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has declined by RMB 173 per tonne to RMB 21,021 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) has slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 27,700 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A356), the price has contracted by RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 20,750 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 20,600 per tonne and RMB 20,900 per tonne.
For aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) the prices have slipped by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne. The price of aluminium powder has inched down by RMB 0.1 per kg to settle at RMB 23 per kg.
