China’s A00 aluminium ingot price reflects M-o-M decline of RMB 870/t; Low carbon aluminium price falls to RMB 19,759/t

China’s A00 aluminium ingot price on Friday, October 24, has fallen by RMB 110 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,910 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,890 per tonne and RMB 18,930 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 40 per tonne and a premium price of 0 per tonne. As per the Shanghai Metal Market (SMM) data, the domestic aluminium ingot price has contracted by RMB 870 per tonne M-o-M from RMB 19,780 per tonne recorded on September 27.

The prices as of today have shown a fall in all the provinces, with the highest in Foshan, Wuxi and Hangzhou, where it has dropped by RMB 120 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,920 per tonne, RMB 18,890 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne. The price in Gongyi has descended by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,800 per tonne. On the same day, the A00 aluminium ingot prices in Chongqing and Shenyang dipped by RMB 90 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,930 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne. In Tianjin and Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has also moved down by RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,960 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has slipped by RMB 126 per tonne to a halt at RMB 19,759 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have decreased by RMB 100 per tonne to come in at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has gained US$3 per tonne, reaching US$340 per tonne. The Aluminium powder price has gone down by RMB 0.1 per kg to stop at RMB 21.2 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 21.2 per kg and RMB 21.3 per kg.

The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price, aluminium alloy (A356) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have lost RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,500 per tonne, RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) may range between RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 19,600 per tonne. For (A356), the average prices may orbit between RMB 19,400 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne. As per the data, for (A380), the average price is expected to stand between RMB 20,400 per tonne and RMB 20,600 per tonne.
