On Friday, April 19, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gained RMB 120 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,340 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 80 per tonne to RMB 40 per tonne. The domestic aluminium ingot price shot up by RMB 1090 per tonne or 5.66 per cent M-o-M from RMB 19,250 per tonne recorded on March 19.
As of today, the average prices may hover between RMB 20,320 per tonne and RMB 20,360 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Gongyi, Wuxi, and Hangzhou expanded by RMB 120 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,290 per tonne and RMB 20,340 per tonne.
In Chongqing and Shenyang, the price of A00 aluminium ingots has hiked by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 20,320 per tonne. In Foshan, Linyi, and Tianjin, the prices have grown by RMB 90 per tonne, RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to RMB 20,310 per tonne, RMB 20,370 per tonne, and RMB 20,320 per tonne.
Other prices
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 111 per tonne to reach RMB 21,273 per tonne. As per the SMM data, high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have increased by RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 27,700 per tonne and RMB 28,700 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has increased by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,900 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 21,100 per tonne. The price of aluminium powder has moved up by RMB0.1 per kg to clock at RMB 22.8 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 22.7 per kg and RMB 22.9 per kg.
