China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slumps by RMB200/t; Alumina price in Henan logs RMB5/t escalation

A00 aluminium ingot price has nosedived to RMB 18,970 per tonne, losing RMB 200 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Wednesday, November 30. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,950 per tonne and RMB 18,990 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at premium prices of RMB 90 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne.

The provinces in China have seen unevenly scaling prices today, with the aluminium price rising the highest in Wuxi by RMB 370 per tonne to RMB 19,170 per tonne, followed by RMB 340 per tonne augmentation in Hangzhou to also stop at RMB 19,170 per tonne. The aluminium price in Linyi has dived down by RMB 230 per tonne, closing at RMB 19,020 per tonne. Other than that, the aluminium prices have witnessed a steep downfall in Gongyi, Foshan and Chongqing by RMB 210 per tonne to arrive at RMB 18,840 per tonne, RMB 19,020 per tonne and RMB 19,060 per tonne. In Shenyang, the aluminium price has declined by RMB 200 per tonne, halting at RMB 18,920 per tonne, whereas the aluminium price in Tianjin has lost RMB 130 per tonne to close at RMB 18,990 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has de-escalated by RMB 210 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,621 per tonne on Wednesday, November 30.

The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) both have shed RMB 200 per tonne, halting at RMB 27,000 per tonne and RMB 28,000 per tonne, respectively.

The averaged alumina price in China has shot up by RMB 3 per tonne, stopping at RMB 2,806 per tonne, while there has been an addition of RMB 5 per tonne in Henan, Shanxi and Guizhou, arriving at RMB 2,890 per tonne, RMB 2,830 per tonne and RMB 2,755 per tonne.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has plunged by RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,250 per tonne, with averages ranging between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,400 per tonne. The prices of aluminium alloy (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) both have gone down by RMB 50 per tonne, resting at RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 20,350 per tonne, respectively.

The price of aluminium powder in China has slumped by RMB 0.20 per kg to close at RMB 20.60 per kg, with average prices hovering between RMB 20.50 per kg and RMB 20.70 per kg.
