On Tuesday, October 17, the average alumina spot price in China added RMB 6 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,985 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 10 per tonne in Shandong, Henan and Shanxi to peg at RMB 2,950 per tonne, RMB 2,990 per tonne and RMB 3,005 per tonne. In Shanxi, the price has increased by RMB 5 per tonne to reside at RMB 2,995 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}As per the Shanghai Metal Exchange (SMM), China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has fallen by RMB 150 per tonne to close at RMB 18,900 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,880 per tonne and RMB 18,920 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a premium price of RMB 70 to RMB 110 per tonne. The prices have shown a descend in all the provinces, with the highest in Chongqing, where it has slumped by RMB 180 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,910 per tonne.
In Linyi, the A00 aluminium ingot price has dipped by RMB 170 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,950 per tonne. In Tianjin, the domestic aluminium ingot price has descended by RMB 150 per tonne, stopping at RMB 18,950 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Gongyi, Foshan and Hangzhou lost RMB 140 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,810 per tonne, RMB 18,910 per tonne and RMB 18,920 per tonne. In Wuxi, it has decreased by RMB 130 per tonne to reach RMB 18,920 per tonne. Shenyang's price has remained the same, at RMB 19,100 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has dipped by RMB 128 per tonne to record RMB 19,756 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium 99.99% price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have plunged by RMB 200 per tonne to close at RMB 26,500 per tonne and RMB 27,500 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.1 per kg to close at RMB 21.2 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 21 per kg and RMB 21.2 per kg.
