On Friday, October 11, the average alumina spot price in China hiked by RMB 27 per tonne to settle at RMB 4,241 per tonne. As per the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) price analysis, the alumina price on a M-o-M surged by RMB 298 per tonne or 7.55 per cent.
{alcircleadd}As of today, the prices have grown in most of the provinces, with the highest in Guangxi, where it has surged by RMB 40 per tonne to peg at RMB 4,200 per tonne. In Henan, the price has grown by RMB 35 per tonne, followed by a hike of RMB 30 per tonne in Shandong and Guizhou. On the same day the price in Henan closed at RMB 4,260 per tonne, RMB 4,205 per tonne in Shandong and RMB 4,160 per tonne in Guizhou. In Shanxi, the price has risen by RMB 20 per tonne and halted at RMB 4,300 per tonne.
Other prices
The price of high purity aluminium (99.99%) and high purity aluminium (99.996%) has both ascended by RMB 200 per tonne to arrive at RMB 27,700 per tonne and RMB 28,700 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has gained US$25 per tonne, settling at US$575 per tonne. The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has increased by RMB 169 per tonne to a halt at RMB 21,610 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot
According to the SMM price graph, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 190 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,700 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 40 per tonne. Today, the average prices may orbit between RMB 20,680 per tonne and RMB 20,720 per tonne.
On the same day, the domestic aluminium ingot prices in all the provinces have shown growth, with the highest in Gongyi, where it has hiked by RMB 210 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,670 per tonne. In regions like Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi, the prices have increased by RMB 180 per tonne, RMB 170 per tonne and RMB 160 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,710 per tonne, RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 20,670 per tonne. In Foshan, the price has increased RMB 150 per tonne to RMB 20,540 per tonne. In Shenyang, Tianjin and Chongqing, the prices have moved up the graph by RMB 140 per tonne, RMB 110 per tonne and RMB 60 per tonne to come in at RMB 20,620 per tonne, RMB 20,650 per tonne and RMB 20,480 per tonne.
The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has hiked by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,150 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 21,000 per tonne and RMB 21,300 per tonne. For (ADC12) and (A380) the prices have grown by RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,900 per tonne and RMB 21,900 per tonne. For (ADC12) the average prices are expected to stand between RMB 20,800 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne. For (A380) the prices may stand between RMB 21,800 per tonne and RMB 22,000 per tonne.
