China’s alumina spot price gains RMB5/t today; up 12.63% M-o-M; SMM A00 aluminium ingot price scores RMB210/t

The alumina spot price in China has kept on growing, with RMB 5 per tonne hike on May 16, today, to close at RMB 3,719 per tonne. On a Month-on-Month basis, the alumina price has skyrocketed by RMB 417 per tonne or 12.63 per cent from RMB 3,302 per tonne recorded on April 16. 

The alumina price in Henan has added RMB 10 per tonne to close at RMB 3,700 per tonne. Other than that, all the other areas (mentioned below) have seen a rise of RMB 5 per tonne in alumina spot prices. 

Alumina spot prices: 

Shandong – RMB 3,670 per tonne 

Shanxi – RMB 3,755 per tonne 

Guizhou – RMB 3,725 per tonne

Guangxi – RMB 3,745 per tonne 

According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the SMM A00 aluminium ingot price has escalated by RMB 210 per tonne to officially close at RMB 20,680 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 20,660 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne. 

The eight main provinces in China have all shown immense growth in aluminium prices, with only one exception in Chongqing, where the aluminium price dropped by RMB 30 per tonne to rest at RMB 20,430 per tonne. The highest recorded elevations of RMB 210 per tonne each were marked in Wuxi and Hangzhou, with the aluminium prices sticking at RMB 20,680 per tonne in both regions. In Foshan, the aluminium price has levitated by RMB 190 per tonne to stop at RMB 20,610 per tonne, while the aluminium prices in Gongyi and Tianjin have expanded by RMB 180 per tonne to officiate at RMB 20,590 per tonne and RMB 20,630 per tonne, respectively. In Shenyang, the aluminium price has halted at RMB 20,600 per tonne, with a noticeable gain of RMB 170 per tonne. The aluminium price in Linyi has scored RMB 160 per tonne, finally closing at RMB 20,680 per tonne. 

China’s low carbon aluminium price has increased by RMB 199 per tonne to park at RMB 21,628 per tonne. 

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and the high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price in China have both grown by RMB 200 per tonne to anchor at RMB 28,100 per tonne and RMB 29,100 per tonne. 

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) and the price of aluminium alloy (A360) have floated RMB 200 per tonne and RMB 250 per tonne upward to reach RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 21,500 per tonne, respectively. 

China’s aluminium powder price has crawled up the graph by RMB 0.20 per kg to rest at RMB 23.30 per kg, with the average prices ranging between RMB 23.20 per kg and RMB 23.40 per kg.
