On Tuesday, May 7, the average alumina spot price in China surged by RMB 65 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,566 per tonne. According to the SMM data, the prices have shown growth in all the provinces, with the highest in Lianyungang, where they have skyrocketed by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 3,620 per tonne.
On the same day, the alumina prices in Shandong, Shanxi and Guizhou have expanded by RMB 70 per tonne to clock at RMB 3,540 per tonne, RMB 3,560 per tonne, and RMB 3,570 per tonne. In Guangxi and Bayuquan the prices have experienced the same growth by RMB 70 per tonne to rest at RMB 3,635 per tonne and RMB 3,640 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot price on a Y-o-Y calculation has surged by RMB 2,100 per tonne from RMB 18,470 per tonne recorded on May 8 2023. As of today, the domestic aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 30 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,570 per tonne. In Foshan the price has hiked by RMB 90 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,530 per tonne.
The A00 aluminium ingot prices in Chongqing and Shenyang have ascended by RMB 40 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,530 per tonne and RMB 20,520 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium ingot price has increased by RMB 30 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,570 per tonne, followed by an ascend of RMB 10 per tonne in Gongyi and Wuxi, where it has stopped at RMB 20,460 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne. Only in Tianjin has the price gone down by RMB 40 per tonne to halt at RMB 20,540 per tonne, and in Linyi, the price has shown no change to dock at RMB 20,600 per tonne.
The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have added RMB 50 per tonne to arrive at RMB 27,950 per tonne and RMB 29,300 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained unchanged to halt at RMB 20,700 per tonne, RMB 21,100 per tonne and RMB 21,700 per tonne.
