On Friday, March 15, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price slumped by RMB 80 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,180 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 10 to RMB 50 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 19,160 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}The A00 aluminium ingot prices have shown a fall in all the provinces except in Chongqing, where it has hiked by RMB 110 per tonne to arrive at RMB 19,230 per tonne. In Foshan, the price dropped by RMB 90 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,120 per tonne, followed by a loss of RMB 80 per tonne in Wuxi, Shenyang and Linyi.
The price in Wuxi settled at RMB 19,170 per tonne; in Shenyang, it pegged at RMB 19,100 per tonne; and in Linyi, it stood at RMB 19,130 per tonne. In Gongyi, the domestic aluminium ingot price contracted by RMB 60 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,080 per tonne, followed by a slump of RMB 50 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,180 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne in Tianjin to arrive at RMB 19,200 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has contracted by RMB 152 per tonne to reach RMB 19,952 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the price of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) has fallen by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,600 per tonne and RMB 27,600 per tonne, respectively.
The average alumina spot price has lost RMB 4 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,317 per tonne, followed by a drop of RMB 10 per tonne to reach RMB 3,345 per tonne in Henan and RMB 5 per tonne to clock at RMB 3,310 per tonne in Shanxi.
On the same day, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) dropped by RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,800 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 19,600 per tonne and RMB 20,000 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.1 per kg to arrive at RMB 21.6 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 21.5 per kg and RMB 21.7 per kg.
