On Friday, June 28, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price increased by RMB 30 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,150 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 100 to RMB 60 per tonne. The average prices may orbit between RMB 20,130 per tonne and RMB 20,170 per tonne.
As per the data, the domestic aluminium ingot prices reflected a surge of RMB 1,580 Y-o-Y from RMB 18,570 per tonne recorded on June 28, 2023. However, in M-o-M, the prices declined by RMB 880 per tonne and RMB 260 per tonne W-o-W from RMB 21,030 per tonne and RMB 20,410 per tonne.
Region-wise growth
The SMM aluminium ingot prices in Hangzhou and Foshan have grown by RMB 60 per tonne and RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,180 per tonne and RMB 19,960 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Chongqing and Gongyi gained RMB 40 per tonne to reside at RMB 20,080 per tonne and RMB 20,010 per tonne. In Wuxi, Tianjin and Linyi, the prices have ascended by RMB 30 per tonne to dock at RMB 20,150 per tonne, RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 20,150 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has also hiked by RMB 92 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,926 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12), aluminium alloy (A356) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained stagnant at RMB 19,950 per tonne, RMB 20,600 per tonne and RMB 20,950 per tonne.
