According to the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM) analysis, the average alumina spot price in China has continued its upward trajectory, reflecting a W-o-W hike of 5.37 per cent and a y-o-Y surge of 77 per cent from RMB 5,056 per tonne and RMB 3,010 per tonne.

As of today, the alumina price has heightened to RMB 5,328 per tonne following a hike of RMB 75 per tonne. This continued price growth can be attributed to the ongoing supply disruptions following the suspension of GAC's bauxite exports from Guinea, a key source of imported bauxite for China. The alumina price has ascended the highest in Lianyungang and Bayuquan by RMB 100 per tonne, settling at RMB 5,500 per tonne.
In Henan, Guizhou, and Guangxi, the alumina prices have added RMB 75 per tonne to halt at RMB 5,325 per tonne and RMB 5,275 per tonne. On the same day the prices in Shandong and Shanxi have gained RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 5,300 per tonne and RMB 5,400 per tonne.
A00 aluminium ingot
On the same day, the A00 aluminium ingot price towered up by RMB 260 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,470 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 60 to RMB 100 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 21,450 per tonne and RMB 21,490 per tonne.
Tianjin's domestic aluminium ingot price has expanded by RMB 290 per tonne to reach RMB 21,420 per tonne. In regions like Hangzhou, Chongqing and Shenyang, the prices have hiked by RMB 280 per tonne to dock at RMB 21,470 per tonne and RMB 21,390 per tonne. In Linyi, the price has increased by RMB 260 per tonne to RMB 21,420 per tonne, followed by RMB 250 per tonne in Gongyi, Foshan and Wuxi to peg at RMB 21,410 per tonne, RMB 21,320 per tonne and RMB 21,470 per tonne.
Other prices
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has grown by RMB 252 per tonne to settle at RMB 22,414 per tonne. As per the SMM price analysis, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price has expanded by RMB 300 per tonne to reach RMB 28,500 per tonne and RMB 29,500 per tonne.
According to the SMM price analysis, the aluminium alloy (A356) has grown by RMB 250 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,900 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 21,700 per tonne and RMB 22,100 per tonne. For (ADC12) and (A380) the prices have moved up by RMB 100 per tonne to arrive at RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 22,200 per tonne.
