SMM alumina price opens the week with a surge of RMB63/t; A00 aluminium ingot price adds RMB40/t

On Monday, October 14, the average alumina spot price in China opened the week with a surge of RMB 63 per tonne to halt at RMB 4,304 per tonne. W-o-W, the alumina price had grown by RMB 196 per tonne from RMB 4,108 per tonne. As of today, the prices in regions like Shanxi and Shandong have gained RMB 75 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to arrive at RMB 4,375 per tonne and RMB 4,275 per tonne. In Henan and Guizhou, the alumina price has added RMB 65 per tonne to dock at RMB 4,325 per tonne and RMB 4,225 per tonne. In Guangxi, the price has been hiked by RMB 40 per tonne to clock at RMB 4,240 per tonne.

A00 aluminium ingot price

On the other hand, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China has grown by RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,740 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 0 to RMB 40 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20,720 per tonne and RMB 20,760 per tonne.

In Wuxi and Hangzhou, the domestic aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 180 per tonne and RMB 170 per tonne, halting at RMB 20,710 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne. In Linyi and Chongqing, the prices have grown by RMB 160 per tonne and RMB 140 per tonne, settling at RMB 20,670 per tonne and RMB 20,620 per tonne. The domestic aluminium ingot prices in Shenyang and Tianjin have hiked by RMB 140 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne to come in at RMB 20,620 per tonne and RMB 20,650 per tonne. In provinces like Gongyi and Foshan the aluminium ingot price has added RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne to arrive at RMB 20,710 per tonne and RMB 20,560 per tonne.

Other prices

The price of low-carbon aluminium has ascended by RMB 169 per tonne to arrive at RMB 21,610 per tonne. For high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%), the prices have remained unchanged at RMB 27,700 per tonne and RMB 28,700 per tonne. The Australian alumina FOB price has also increased by US$25 per tonne to settle at US$575 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A356), the price has gained RMB 50 per tonne to reside at RMB 21,200 per tonne, with average prices between RMB 21,000 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne.
