According to the Shanghai Metal Market (SMM), today, the week initiated with a surge in average prices of raw materials like alumina by RMB 18 per tonne to reach RMB 4,092 per tonne. This increased the price by RMB 189 per tonne in three months from RMB 3,903 per tonne. The price has expanded in some of the key regions.
{alcircleadd}Like in Guizhou, the average price reached RMB 4,075 per tonne, up by RMB 25 per tonne from the previous day. Henan, Shanxi, and Shandong regions experienced price growth by RMB 20 per tonne. This brings the average price to RMB 4160 per tonne in Shanxi, RMB 4080 per tonne in Henan and RMB 4050 per tonne in Shandong. Also, in Guangxi, the price has inclined minorly by RMB 5 per tonne to officially close at RMB 4,050 per tonne.
Also, raw materials like imported bauxite prices have escalated by US$ 0.01 per tonne to clock at US$ 77.51 per tonne.
Meanwhile, as of 30th September, the aluminium ingot price on the Shanghai Metal Market (SMM) escalated very minorly compared to the increase in the previous day by RMB 70 per tonne to balance the market condition. The current average price is RMB 20,380 per tonne, within a range of RMB 20,360 per tonne to RMB 20,400 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a discounted price of RMB 70 per tonne to RMB 30 per tonne, with an average of RMB 50 per tonne.
The average price of low-carbon aluminium has also risen up by RMB 59 per tonne to RMB 21,221 per tonne. In contrast, the average prices for high-purity aluminium (99.99% and 99.996%) have skyrocketed by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 27,400 per tonne and RMB 28,400 per tonne for 99.996% purity.
Regional Analysis:
The average A00 aluminium ingot price has up swinged across all the provinces of China, with the highest average price in Shenyang and the second highest price in Tianjin at RMB 20,410 per tonne and RMB 20400 per tonne, where in Shenyang the price is up by RMB 130 per tonne and in Tianjin by RMB 140 per tonne.
In Gongyi, Wuxi, Hangzhou and Linyi provinces, the prices closed at RMB 20,380 per tonne, where the average prices soared by RMB 120 per tonne in Linyi, RMB 90 per tonne in Gongyi, RMB 70 per tonne in both Wuxi and Hangzhou. And lastly, in Foshan, the average price has increased by RMB 70 per tonne to reach RMB 20,190 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy ingot:
Aluminium alloys ingot (ADC12) prices has remained unchanged in all the regions except for southwest regions, where the price has escalated by RMB 100 per, officially standing at RMB 20,800 per, fluctuating between RMB 20,700 per tonne to RMB 20,900 per tonne.
Aluminium alloy (A360) and alloy (A356) prices have risen by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 21,100 per tonne and RMB 20,850 per tonne, respectively. The average price is ranging between RMB 21,000 per tonne to RMB 21200 per tonne for (A360) and RMB 20700 per tonne to RMB 21000 per tonne for (A356). The aluminium alloy ingot (A380) price is standing at RMB 21,700 per tonne, with no change from the previous day.
