ASI accredits Guangdong Golden Aluminum with the Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced that Guangdong Golden Aluminum Co., Ltd. has earned the Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification. Located in the Guangdong Province, the company unlocked this achievement for manufacturing aluminium alloy profiles for building and industrial applications.

The Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced this achievement, recognising the facility's adherence to rigorous standards. Key production processes at the facility include aluminium rod extrusion, surface treatments (such as oxidation, spraying, and electrophoresis), and packaging.

The ASI Certification program, created through an extensive multi-stakeholder consultation, is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard for the aluminium value chain. Launched in May 2022 after a multi-year revision, the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) establishes 11 principles and 62 criteria across three sustainability pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance. This standard addresses key sustainability challenges in the aluminium sector, including biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples' rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
