Entities are now evaluated to Principles 1-4 of the Performance Standard V3 due to the transitional period of Performance Standard Material Stewardship certificates from V2 (2017) to V3 (2022). Except for the Casthouse/Foundry, the audit scope for the Performance Standard V3 Certification includes all design and production operations.

"We congratulate OTTO FUCHS KG on achieving ASI Performance Standard Certification with a focus on Material Stewardship for its facility in Meinerzhagen, as well as Chain of Custody Standard V1 Certification for its in-house B9 unit. The aluminium extrusions produced by the company cater primarily to the aerospace, automotive and construction industries, which harness aluminium's unique lightweighting, strength, and durability. We are pleased to see OTTO FUCHS KG and Schüco International KG continue their ASI Certification journey across their facilities, through their joint ASI membership," said Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI.

The Chain of Custody Certification audit scope includes fabricating extruded aluminium profiles in production area B9. These profiles are made for Schüco, an OTTO FUCHS KG subsidiary. GUTcert (AFNOR Group) performed OTTO FUCHS KG's independent, third-party audits. The audit occurred before May 31, 2023, allowing for Chain of Custody V1 certification.

“As a company in the aluminum industry, OTTO FUCHS feels responsible for contributing to independent social, ecological and ethical standards along the entire value chain. Our ASI Certification underlines this commitment and also promotes the trust of our customers. We are looking forward to working with ASI and thus playing a key role in shaping the further decarbonization of the aluminum industry,” added Martin Knötgen, Chief Executive Officer at OTTO FUCHS KG.
