On Tuesday, August 23, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced that Yunnan YunLv Yongxin Aluminium Co., Ltd. based in the Yangjie Industrial Park, Yunnan Province, China, received the ASI Chain of Custody Standard V1 (2017) Certification. In September 2021, the facility was granted the Performance Standard Certification by ASI. The application of ASI's CoC Standard establishes a connection between the goods made by ASI Certified Entities and verified processes at various supply chain stages that have been approved under the ASI Performance Standard.
Based on hydropower, the plant has an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes of primary aluminium. The major products are electrolytic aluminium liquid, re-melted aluminium ingots, casting aluminium alloy, and aluminium bars. SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services performed an independent audit as a third party for Yunnan YunLv Yongxin Aluminium Co., Ltd.

The ASI Certification programme, the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain, was established through an extensive multi-stakeholder engagement process. The ASI CoC Standard specifies specific standards to provide a Chain of Custody (COC) for material generated and processed across the value chain and into various downstream sectors.
