These include parts for sunroofs, electric vehicle (EV) batteries, car bodies, and chassis. This certification applies to their Automotive Precision Technology (APT) – Sole Proprietorship LLC facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
This certification covers APT’s facility, which provides build-to-print manufacturing services using customer component designs and incorporates a Design for Manufacture (DFM) process. The facility has an annual production capacity of approximately 7,500 tonnes.
The ASI Certification program, developed through extensive multi-stakeholder consultation, is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainability standard for the aluminium value chain. Launched in May 2022 after a multi-year revision, the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) establishes 11 principles and 62 criteria across three sustainability pillars—Environment, Social, and Governance. It aims to tackle key sustainability challenges in the aluminium industry, including biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
