According to the latest AlCircle industry-focused report, 'Global Aluminium Industry 2023', it has been unveiled that the building and construction sector moved ahead in 2022 in many parts of the world with varied levels of growth. The global usage of aluminium in building & construction stood at 21.6 million tonnes in 2022, an increase of 1.2 per cent over the previous year. The use of aluminium in the building and construction sector is expected to reach 21.8 million tonnes in 2023. Strong impetus for reducing carbon footprint across several countries has forced the usage of low-carbon materials, such as aluminium.
