The infinitely recyclable Ball Aluminum Cup is set to hit the UK market this autumn after making a triumphant debut at three Super Bowls and Coldplay's Music of the Spheres US Tours. Ball has teamed up with Re:Water as the exclusive distributor of the cup. This collaboration marks the UK's first widespread distribution of aluminium cups.
{alcircleadd}A classic replacement for single-use plastic and paper cups, these aluminium cups are intended to serve beverages at various locations, including sporting arenas, music festivals, bars, and other public gathering places. The aluminum cups have also received Bronze level Cradle to Cradle certification for their performance in using renewable energy and carbon control.
The Ball Aluminum Cup® is a cutting-edge and upscale alternative to single-use containers and comprises 90 per cent recycled metal. Aluminium is already the material that is recycled the most in the world for beverage packaging. Once collected, the cups may be recycled using the same procedure as aluminium cans.
Re:Water, which previously distributed the first 100 per cent recycled aluminium Spring Water bottle in the world and was the preferred bottled water at the COP26 climate change conference, the G7 summit last year, as well as major musical events like "ABBA: Voyage" in London, shares Ball's passion for sustainability.
“The Ball Aluminum Cup® is set to become an exciting addition to sporting, musical and cultural events across the UK. They are 100 percent recyclable and are key to ensuring major events across the UK are as sustainable as they can be. Going into 2023 the Ball Aluminum Cup® is set to become a mainstay at some of UK’s most iconic venues. We are delighted to partner with Re:Water on this rapid expansion,” said Emily Fong Mitchell, Ball Aluminium Cup® President and General Manager.
“We believe the UK is ready to move away from single-use plastic and think the next big opportunity is in infinitely recyclable aluminium - which is why we wanted to team up with Ball on their innovative Ball Aluminum Cup® as the exclusive UK distributor,” said Matt Crocker, Co-Founder of Re:Water.
