CafePod UK deploys residential coffee pods made of 80% recycled aluminium

Headquartered in London, CafePod, to bring the experience of flavoured coffee to a user’s resident, has decided to supplement its Nespresso® compatible pod range with three new exquisite blends. For the first time, CafePod made its coffee pods with 80 per cent recycled aluminium which can be 100 per cent recycled after use, similar to the rest of the company’s production.

Aluminium is a lightweight material extremely suitable for the packaging industry because of its malleability. Moreover, an aluminium end-of-life product can be recycled innumerable times to produce new items of utilisation. The production of primary aluminium is costly plus energy-consuming, and there is the prevailing issue of carbon emissions, whereas the production of secondary aluminium narrows down those concepts. CafePod was intelligent enough to use secondary aluminium as the pods would take 95 per cent less energy than the creation of primary aluminium requires.

The customers can bid adieu to the extremely sweet coffee flavours they have tasted all this while. With this new edition, CafePod has created the perfect alchemy of solid coffee notes for the taste bud with coco-rich truffle and hazelnut praline-infused flavours. The coffee is savoured with ice or oat milk and is perfect for summers.

CafePod was established by entrepreneur Peter Grainger and two of his friends in the year 2011 with the idea of showering happiness into the everyday lives of people, providing them with a refreshing daily grind.

The launch of these coffee pods will be succeeded by the introduction of a limited edition Oh My Gingerbreads that release mouth-watering flavours of Lebkuchen cookies, minutely spiced up with a pinch of ginger and are served best with a latte as a hearty winter delicacy.

CafePod has the vision of enabling its customers with high-quality, great-tasting coffee at home without the requirement of going outside for a freshly brewed cup.

The head of marketing at CafePod, Victoria Russell, quoted: “After the successful launch of You’re So Vanilla and Call Me Caramel late last year, we’re delighted to be bringing consumers three more delicious, flavoured coffees. With consumers looking for a little treat in all the madness, Choc ’n’ Roll and Hey There Hazelnut is the perfect guilt-free indulgence, particularly in our new recycled pods.”

“We’re excited to then bolster our fantastic range in September with new limited edition Oh My Gingerbread. As the cold weather kicks in, there’s nothing like warming notes of cinnamon, mixed spice and ginger to give you that hug you need,” she concluded.
