After remaining restrained for almost a month at RMB 2,338 per tonne, the average alumina spot price in China has inched up by RMB 2 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,340 per tonne on Friday, April 16, learned the Shanghai Metals Market.
In Shanxi, the price has gained RMB 5 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,345 per tonne, with average prices likely to range between RMB 2,340 per tonne and RMB 2,350 per tonne. However, in other Chinese cities, the price has continued to remain restrained. Australian alumina FOB price has also not displayed any change from US$ 273 per tonne as of April 16.
A00 aluminium ingot price has continued to grow, although slower than the three previous days, to close the week on Friday, April 16, at RMB 18,130 per tonne, according to SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,110 per tonne and RMB 18,150 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-10 per tonne.
In Chongqing, A00 aluminium ingot price has grown the highest by RMB 260 per tonne to RMB 18,020 per tonne. In Gongyi and Foshan, the price has increased by RMB 40 per tonne to come in at RMB 17,970 per tonne and RMB 18,180 per tonne, respectively, while the price in Shenyang has gained RMB 35 per tonne to RMB 17,750 per tonne. In Wuxi and Tianjin, A00 aluminium ingot price has expanded by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne to RMB 17,750 per tonne and RMB 18,120 per tonne, while the price in Hangzhou and Linyi have inched up by RMB 25 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,130 per tonne and RMB 18,010 per tonne, respectively.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has surged by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 18,850 per tonne on April 16, with average prices expected to range between RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne. Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have, however, remained restrained.
