ELLWOOD invests in Aluminium Tooling plate production at its ESS facility

ELLWOOD has declared an upgradation to produce an in-house Aluminium Tooling plate (ATP) with a substantial investment in its ELLWOOD Speciality Steel (ESS) facility. The ELLWOOD Aluminium cast-house in Hubbard, OH, will provide the ATP facility with the cast aluminium slab input stock they require to run operations.

As part of the newly optimized ESS facility, which is specialized to make the most of industry-revolutionizing technology, the ATP production line will be able to produce 'light-outs' with minimal interference from operator interference. ESS will ease its customer's inventory levels and undue stress by offering industry-booming lead and customer service. By providing rigid quality, production reliability, and vertically integrated raw material supply, ESS wishes to build a solid customer base.

ELLWOOD can cast the world's most enormous cross-section slab and lengths unconceived by any other North American producer.

ELLWOOD Aluminum sends out 2000, 5000, 6000 and 7000-series aluminium cast billet and slab to the most overwhelming markets and customers, which enlist the aerospace and silicon microchip industry that requires extreme consistency, cleanliness and chemistry control.

ELLWOOD is on the road to start producing 10 million pounds with an average estimation to extend its capabilities beyond, targeting a start-up by 2024.

ATP has already received positive reviews among the other ESS distribution portfolio products, but its production supply has been curtailed globally.
