Fife Aluminium and Metal Company, a specialist in architectural aluminium and metal products, has more than doubled its production space by relocating to Glenrothes. Founded in 2016 by Dale Robertson, the company has moved from its original Lochgelly location to two new units within Queensway Business Park.

With a rising demand for its products, Dale recognised the need for expanded facilities to accommodate the growing order volume. Now operating with a team of five, the company offers a wide range of products, including fascia and soffits, cladding and pressing, rainwater systems, and vision skylights. The new space also features displays, allowing customers to see their offerings up close.
With over 30 years of experience in metalwork, Dale Robertson has led his company’s growth over the past seven years. Dale explained that the new units allow the company to handle a higher volume of orders and provide an on-site showcase of their craftsmanship. Each product is custom-made, manufactured in their workshop, and personally installed by Dale and his team.
“The move to Glenrothes has meant we have increased the floor space by 150%. This will allow us to handle more contracts efficiently and expand the team by recruiting another two sheet metal workers to meet the demands of the business. I’d like to thank Business Gateway Fife and the Employability Team at Fife Council for all their help during this process. They made the transition much easier,” added Dale Robertson.
The company received support from Business Gateway, which provides a range of services on behalf of Fife Council. Catherine Bartle from Business Gateway offered Dale personalised guidance on all aspects of the business.
“It is great to see Dale move into the bigger premises. His knowledge and reputation for supplying high-quality products mean he is constantly in demand. I was delighted to be able to support him with a net zero application for a portable extraction fan and funding from our specialist business advice programme for HR administration support,” said Catherine Bartle.
