{alcircleadd}“We congratulate Grupa Kęty S.A. for achieving ASI Performance Standard Certification at its foundry and extrusion plant in Kęty, Poland. Using scrap in billet production requires less energy than using primary aluminium and further reduces the environmental impact of the production process. With a focus on energy reduction and through its ASI Certification, Grupa Kęty demonstrates its leadership in promoting responsible practices and contributes to a more responsible aluminium value chain,” said Fiona Solomon, Chief Executive Officer at ASI.
The ASI Certification programme, established after intensive multi-stakeholder input, is the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) sets environmental, social, and governance principles and standards to address sustainability challenges across the aluminium value chain.
