An all-aluminium IP-67-rated enclosure EV tuned more towards performance was launched in April this year with a facelifted feature, renamed the F77 Mach 2, at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.99 lakh (USD 3556).

Ultraviolette has announced through a media release that the F77 Mach 2 has attained an international credential from the 'United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)'. The L3e certification approves the vehicle for road usage across 40 countries globally, which also includes the European Union (EU).

The F77 MACH 2 is authorised for A1 and A2 licence holders across Europe and other international roadways. Ultraviolette officials have said that the latest L3e certificate aligns with Ultraviolette's approach to 'Make in India for the World'. The company has already begun shipping electric sports bikes to Turkey and Germany, which will be followed by other European markets.

The model is also scheduled to be showcased at Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) in Milan, Italy. Like its precursor, it is broadly classified into trims– standard and Recon, the latter priced at Rs 3.99 lakh or USD 4745 (ex-showroom). In India, the two-wheeler is now available for purchase in 15 cities.

The new F77 has an identical design to its ancestor. It offers a wide array of colour options from the three different personas—Shadow, Airstrike, and Laser. The new F77 is presented in nine shades: Cosmic Black, Lighting Blue, Afterburner Yellow, Asteroid Grey, Turbo Red, Supersonic Silver, Stealth Grey, Plasma Red, and Stellar.

Additionally, the contemporary version of the electric sports bike gets new 'F77' graphics on the front forks, wrapped by new liveries. Besides, the charging port lid is now made of aluminium, unlike the previous plastic unit, giving the battery-powered motorcycle a more premium touch.

The F77 Mach 2 is powered by a 30kW electric motor that delivers 40.2 hp and 100 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate 0 to 60 kilometres per hour in just 2.8 seconds and clock a top speed of 155 kilometres per hour, making it India's fastest electric bike. This vehicle draws energy from the same 10.3 kWh battery pack, but the peak single-charge has improved by 16 km to 323 km.

The base variant takes three hours to charge the battery from 20 – 80 per cent, while the Recon version takes five hours. The boost charger can accomplish the same charge levels in 1.5 hours and 2.5 hours, respectively.
