About DecoSTAR EVO

DecoSTAR EVO boasts an advanced defect classifier for streamlined system setup and operation, complemented by a modern, intuitive graphical user interface. It incorporates Isra Vision's latest high-performance lighting and camera technology. Additionally, it features an integrated interface with the optional EPROMI production management intelligence tool.

The DecoSTAR inline inspection system from ISRA VISION ensures high-quality control for printed metal sheets used in packaging, such as steel or aluminium. Proven and flexible, it supports tinplate and aluminium sheets, accommodating both high-gloss and matte finishes across various machine types. This system is designed to maintain quality at high production speeds, meeting the demands for cost-effective metal sheet production.

Features of DecoSTAR EVO

Equipped with highly efficient LED lighting and a high-resolution, state-of-the-art camera, DecoSTAR EVO accurately identifies typical defects such as colour deviations, hickeys, stripes, streaks, and edge or material imperfections. It also delivers detailed defect data, aiding in eliminating recurring issues and reducing reject rates.

A notable enhancement in DecoSTAR EVO is its support for digital printing. The system can detect issues such as splashes, streaks, and smears caused by clogged nozzles on digitally printed metal sheets. By integrating offset and digital print inspection capabilities into a single system, Isra Vision offers its customers increased application flexibility.

With cutting-edge LED lighting and high-resolution camera technology, DecoSTAR EVO can detect defects as small as 50 µm. The updated, modern graphical user interface offers intuitive and straightforward operation. The new EPROMI interface also allows integration with Isra Vision's optional Production Management Intelligence Tool. This integration facilitates the comprehensive analysis of extensive inspection and production data. By correlating this data, users can derive actionable insights to enhance processes and improve outcomes.

New self-learning defect classifier

The DecoSTAR EVO introduces a new self-learning defect classifier similar to those found in Isra Vision’s other inline inspection systems. This feature allows for creating customised guidelines and tolerances for each print job, enabling the system to differentiate between 'relevant' and 'non-relevant' defects. Users can input detailed defect specifications and limit values into a job-specific profile.

As a result, the system can automatically sort out faulty prints or alert the operator to take corrective action. Non-relevant defects are still recorded and included in the inspection report with precise location details. This functionality helps minimise waste, increase the quantity of sellable products, and reduce overall costs.
