Last week, Tennessee-based Kaiser Aluminium posted its 2021 Sustainability Report, in which the company vividly elaborated its environmental, social, and governance programming policy, stating advancements.
{alcircleadd}The report reflects upon Kaiser Aluminium’s persistent efforts to enlarge its operations in an authoritative way.
The President and Chief Executive Officer, Keith A. Harvey, spoke his heart in a press release where he notified that the firm is extremely conscious about the role of sustainability in their developments and how to keep the environmental premises intact. Below is an excerpt from his speech:
“We continued to build on the core elements of our sustainability initiatives in 2021 to ensure we are well-positioned for future growth in the rising circular economy. Our accomplishments are a result of our continuing commitment to identify, enhance and implement policies, disclosures and programs to create a more sustainable future and long-term value for our stakeholders. We believe Kaiser represents a part of the carbon solution with products that are inherently sustainable and infinitely recyclable, which continues to further support the strategic positioning of our company as a responsible and resilient organization for long-term growth and profitability.”
Kaiser has recently expanded environmental protocols at its Warrick and Trentwood mills, making good use of the company’s ESG committee. In the same way, it has arranged for better social disclosure and given a satisfactory safety performance all throughout the year.
“Looking ahead, we will remain focused on continuing to nurture our corporate culture of safety, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, as well as maintaining our strong corporate governance practices and implementing our strategies and investment decisions in line with our corporate values and sustainability initiatives for the benefit of all stakeholders,” Harvey made a solid point.
Only last year, in September, Kaiser Aluminium’s Sherman Plant in Tennessee was witness to a sudden fire that, though tackled very well, caused havoc in the vicinity, for the time being, shattering the work conditions. Moving into a new year, the company must be more careful about such occurrences to successfully reach its estimated goals.
