According to the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report 2019, Lithuania belongs to the high-income group. However, the economy will rebound strongly in 2021, after 2020's pandemic-induced contraction, although the downturn should be the softest in the EU. A revival in foreign and domestic demand and inflows of EU funding are set to underpin the rebound. In 2021, the economy is expected to grow by 3.3%.
The Baltic nation’s import of aluminium plates, sheets and strips during 2018-19 was recorded with a volume of 17,823 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $41.11 million. The import for 2020 is evaluated to reach at 9245 tonnes and the expenditure to stand at $19.56 million. When the import and expenditure of 2020 get assorted with the existing two years, it resembles 27,068 tonnes and $60.67 million respectively.
Lithuania’s import of aluminium plates, sheets and strips in 2018 stood at 8752 tonnes and the revenue expenditure accounted was $20.51 million, whereas, in 2019 the import illustrated growth by 3.64%, as the import volume grew to 9071 tonnes and expenditure remained at $20.60 million.
The import for 2020 has also been evaluated with growth by 1.91%, as the import volume is expected to reach at 9245 tonnes, while expenditure to fall and remain at $19.56 million.
Lithuania’s major trading destinations for the importation of aluminium plates, sheets and strips are Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Rep., Denmark, Estonia, Germany, etc.
