LME aluminium fell after opening at US$2,399 per tonne on Monday but rebounded towards the end of the day and closed at US$2,385 per tonne, a drop of 0.73 per cent.
{alcircleadd}On Monday, April 24, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$34 per tonne or 1.42 per cent to halt at US$2,354 per tonne and US$2,354.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price slipped by US$25.5 per tonne or 1.06 per cent and US$27 per tonne or 1.12 per cent to score at US$2,372.50 per tonne and US$2,373 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price fell by US$23 per tonne or 0.89 per cent to come in at US$2,540 per tonne and US$2,545 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock halted at 569600 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 493950 tonnes and 75650 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price decreased by US$20.49 per tonne or 0.85 per cent to stop at US$2,377.01 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Tuesday, April 25, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price moved down by US$9 per tonne or 0.32 per cent to reside at US$2,729 per tonne.
SHFE 2306 aluminium dipped RMB 175 per tonne or 0.92 per cent to RMB 18,835 per tonne. The open interest declined 2,815 lots to 262,995 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2306 aluminium contract went down to RMB 18,700 per tonne after opening at RMB 18,825 per tonne but rebounded before closing at RMB 18,830 per tonne, down RMB 70 per tonne or 0.37 per cent.
