Three-month LME aluminium decreased 0.36 per cent to end at US$ 2,523 per tonne on Wednesday, and is expected to trade between US$ 2,500-2,550 per tonne today.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price extended growth by US$ 4.50 per tonne to close at US$ 2,523 per tonne on Wednesday, June 30. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 2,535 per tonne, up by US$ 2 per tonne from US$ 2,533 per tonne. However, Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price decreased from US$ 2,475 per tonne on June 29 to US$ 2,469.50 per tonne on June 30.
LME aluminium opening stock grew from 1577175 tonnes to 1578075 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 951875 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants stood at 626200 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price rose from US$ 2,519.91 per tonne to US$ 2,551.50 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE recorded a further decline of US$ 11 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,904 per tonne on Thursday, July 1.
The most liquid SHFE 2108 aluminium contract dipped 0.29 per cent to close at RMB 18,800 per tonne today, with open interest down 5,078 lots to 212,234 lots.
The most liquid SHFE contract edged down 0.21 per cent to close at RMB 18,790 per tonne last night, and is expected to trade between RMB 18,600-19,000 per tonne today.
