The LME complex ended mostly lower on Wednesday, January 13, with aluminium lost 0.62 per cent. Benchmark aluminium price on the London Metal Exchange edged 0.79 per cent lower on Wednesday.
{alcircleadd}LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price decreased by US$ 16 per tonne from US$ 2025.50 per tonne to US$ 2009.50 per tonne on Wednesday, January 13. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 2008.50 per tonne, down by USS$ 16.50 per tonne from US$ 2025 per tonne. Dec 21 bid price and Dec 21 offer price declined to US$ 2076 per tonne from US$ 2099.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock decreased relatively slower from 1298075 tonnes to 1293300 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1189525 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants 103775 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price hovered at US$ 2019.50per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased for the fourth consecutive day to stand at US$ 2274 per tonne on Thursday, January 14, 2021.
Shanghai base metals mostly advanced in overnight trading, while aluminium fell 1.28 per cent. On Wednesday, January 13, SHFE aluminium benchmark price slipped by US$ 21 per tonne or nearly 1 per cent to stand at US$ 2316 per tonne.
