On June 29, Thursday, the LME aluminium cash bid price and the LME aluminium official settlement price anchored at US$2,105 per tonne and US$2,105.50 per tonne, experiencing a uniform drop of US$36 per tonne or 1.68 per cent.
One month ago, on May 30, the LME aluminium spot price was US$2,230 per tonne, which has slumped by US$124.50 per tonne or 5.58 per cent Month-on-Month to arrive at what it is currently.
The 3-month bid price dived down by US$33 per tonne or 1.51 per cent to rest at US$2,150 per tonne, and the 3-month offer price slumped by US$31.50 per tonne or 1.44 per cent, officially stopping at US$2,152 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price both de-escalated by US$23 per tonne or 0.98 per cent each to clock at US$2,310 per tonne and US$2,315 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock delved downward by 0.58 per cent or 3,125 tonnes, officially closing at 531,225 tonnes from 534,350 tonnes recorded the day before.
Live warrants read 257,750 tonnes, with no measurable change at all. Cancelled warrants stood at 273,475 tonnes, with 3,125 tonnes or 1.13 per cent plunge.
The 3-month Asian Reference Price closed at US$2,163.72 per tonne, falling by US$28.64 per tonne or 1.31 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on June 30, the SHFE aluminium spot price resides at RMB 2,515 per tonne, with a slight drop of US$4 per tonne or 0.16 per cent. On May 30, the SHFE aluminium spot price was US$2,575 per tonne, which means it has suffered a loss of US$60 per tonne or 2.33 per cent Month-on-Month.
The most-traded SHFE 2308 aluminium contract opened at RMB 17,920 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 17,895 per tonne and RMB 17,960 per tonne before closing at RMB 17,925 per tonne. It fell by RMB 60 per tonne, or 0.33 per cent.
SHFE 2307 aluminium added RMB 595 per tonne or 3.38 per cent to RMB 18,185 per tonne. The open interest fell 11,785 lots to 256,640 lots.
