LME aluminium opened at US$2,430 per tonne on Thursday and closed at US$2,465 per tonne, an increase of US$39 per tonne or 1.61 per cent.
LME aluminium cash bid price stopped at US$2,457 per tonne, with a 2.8 per cent or US$67 per tonne escalation on Thursday, July 28, while LME aluminium official settlement price rested at US$2,458 per tonne, experiencing a price hike of 2.82 per cent or US$67.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price grew by 2.51 per cent or US$60 per tonne to stand at US$2,445.50 per tonne, while the 3-month offer price witnessed a US$59.50 per tonne or 2.49 per cent boost to US$2,446 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price climbed up the graph by US$58 per tonne or 2.4 per cent to rest at US$2,485 per tonne and US$2,490 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock continued to decrease by 1.46 per cent or 4,375 tonnes, from 299,700 tonnes to 295,325 tonnes as of July 28.
Live warrants totalled 146,350 tonnes, dropping by 2,000 tonnes or 1.35 per cent.
Cancelled warrants read 148,975 tonnes, shrinking by 1.57 per cent or 2,375 tonnes from the previous day.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price had 1.84 per cent or US$44.49 per tonne added to it, stopping at US$2,464.99 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on July 29, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has gained US$44 per tonne or 1.61 per cent to stand at US$2,775 per tonne, if compared with data collected yesterday.
The most-traded SHFE 2209 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,700 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 18,775 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,705 per tonne, down RMB 25 per tonne or 0.13 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2209 aluminium closed up 4.03 per cent or RMB 725 per tonne to RMB 18,730 per tonne, with open interest down 735 lots to 177,560 lots.
