LME aluminium opened at US$2,109 per tonne on Wednesday and closed at US$2,135 per tonne, an increase of US$33 per tonne or 1.57 per cent.
LME aluminium cash bid price has decreased by US$26.50 per tonne or 1.26 per cent to settle at US$2,079 per tonne, and LME aluminium official settlement price has dipped by US$26 per tonne or 1.23 per cent to rest at US$2,080 per tonne on Wednesday, September 28.
3-month bid price has dropped by 1.22 per cent or US$26 per tonne to stand at US$2,102 per tonne, while the 3-month offer price has witnessed a US$27 per tonne or 1.27 per cent loss, closing at US$2,103 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price both plunged down by 0.76 per cent or US$17 per tonne, stopping at US$2,213 per tonne and US$2,218 per tonne, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock continued to decline by 0.53 per cent or 1,800 tonnes, from 337,425 tonnes to 335,625 tonnes as of September 28.
Live warrants totalled 272,175 tonnes, suffering a loss of 0.39 per cent or 1,075 tonnes.
Cancelled warrants read 63,450 tonnes, dropping 1.13 per cent or 725 tonnes from the previous day.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price came in at US$2,088.19 per tonne after 2.39 per cent, or US$51.11 per tonne, got deducted from it.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on September 29, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has escalated by US$30 per tonne or 1.2 per cent to arrive at US$2,528 per tonne, if compared with yesterday’s data.
The most-traded SHFE 2211 aluminium contract opened at RMB 17,905 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 18,055 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,045 per tonne, up RMB 180 per tonne or 1.01 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2211 aluminium closed down 1.71 per cent or RMB 310 per tonne to RMB 17,865 per tonne, with open interest up 16,375 lots to 181,874 lots.
