Moment enhances its sustainability game with crown holdings, upgrades to printed aluminium cans

Botanical soda brand Moment has partnered with Crown Holdings, Inc. to enhance its sustainability efforts by upgrading the aluminium packaging for its botanical and adaptogen-based beverages sold across the U.S.

By transitioning from shrink-wrapped aluminium cans to directly printed cans—renowned for their superior sustainability—Moment aims to significantly improve packaging circularity and reduce its environmental footprint. The company selected Crown for its extensive packaging expertise, advanced graphic design capabilities, technical support, and strong commitment to sustainability. Additionally, Capsules and Closures, LLC, a key partner, is providing further support in this transition.

Moment has cultivated a dedicated customer base among those seeking natural beverage options for various lifestyle and social occasions. Since its appearance on the hit reality show Shark Tank, the brand has achieved 400 per cent growth and is now preparing for a major scale-up. Through this collaboration, Moment will transition six of its best-selling SKUs to an infinitely recyclable format, ensuring sustainability without compromising the consumer experience.

Its new packaging will preserve product transparency and integrity throughout this expansion while maintaining its bold visual identity—showcased through a series of ombre cans in vibrant, eye-catching colours. All of Moment's transitioned SKUs will be available in 12-oz CrownSleek cans, rolling out in key regions nationwide by early 2025. The launch will begin in the Midwest and Northeast, with the West Coast to follow.

Paired with the tagline "Drink Your Meditation," Moment's collaboration with Crown will feature top-performing flavours like Sparkling Blackberry Lavender and Still Blueberry Ginger. Infused with South Asian-inspired ingredients like ashwagandha and L-theanine, these beverages promote stress relief and mental clarity. Non-alcoholic, low-calorie, and free from added sugar, they cater to growing consumer demand for healthier choices—especially during the holiday season—and the rising sober-curious movement.
