On October 12, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) declared the latest positioning of Jagdish Arora as the Projects and Technical Director of the Company. A highly proficient official with an experience of more than thirty-four years, Arora took up his responsibilities on October 11, as per the order released the previous day.
The order was passed on October 9 by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, as was publicised by the company through an exchange filing.
{alcircleadd}Jagdish Arora has a background in the metal and mining industry and possesses high-level knowledge and expertise about the same. He flaunts an impressive career history, beginning as a Management Trainee (Technical) at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in 1989 and rising to the position of Executive Director in charge of the Centre for Engineering & Technology, SAIL's in-house engineering and technical project consultancy unit.
He then moved on to become the Director (Projects & Technical) at NALCO, where he oversaw engineering consultancy for projects worth over INR 47,000 crore. Arora's expertise spans several domains, including Operation, Technology Management, Engineering, Projects, Consulting, and Commercial. He has been recognised for his significant contributions to sustainability, decarbonisation, Atmanirbhar Bharat, digital transformation, and Industry roadmap for 2047 for the Indian Steel Industry. Additionally, he is a TEDx speaker on sustainability.
