A week later, since the last hike, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has further increased its aluminium products and aluminium ingot prices, with effect from Thursday, January 26. This marks the third consecutive escalation in NALCO’s aluminium prices. According to the latest price chart of the company, its aluminium wire rod price is being grown by INR 3,500 per tonne or 1.4 per cent to INR 247,350-251,700 per tonne.
NALCO’s aluminium billets price has also seen a raise of INR 3,500 per tonne, with effect from January 26, from INR 243,800-246,450 per tonne on January 18 to INR 247,300-249,950 per tonne on January 26.
Aluminium ingot price currently stands at INR 242,850-246,350 per tonne, also up by INR 3,500 per tonne from INR 239,350-242,850 per tonne a week earlier.
NALCO links its aluminium ingot and aluminium products prices to the three-month futures of aluminium on the London Metal Exchange, which trended up through the week by US$57 per tonne from US$2,541 per tonne on January 19 to US$2,598 per tonne on January 26.
NALCO’s aluminium products and alumina account for nearly two-thirds of the company’s gross topline, while the sales of chemicals contribute to the rest. NALCO manufactures wire rods, billets, coils, and chequered sheets.
