Nedal Aluminium, known for developing, producing and selling aluminium profiles and lighting columns, has been certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) with the Performance Standard V3 (2022) Certification. The Netherlands-based company has earned the certification for extrusion and machining of aluminium profiles, as well as the development, production, and machining of aluminium lighting columns, traffic poles, and flagpoles at its facility in Utrecht.
{alcircleadd}An independent third-party audit of Nedal Aluminium B.V. was conducted by Certainable GmbH. The facility manufactures a range of products, including conical and cylindrical lighting columns, smart city solutions, traffic masts, and EV-charging masts. The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced the certification, recognising Nedal Aluminium's commitment to sustainability and high-performance standards in its operations.
The ASI Certification program, developed through a comprehensive multi-stakeholder consultation process, is the only voluntary sustainability standard for the entire aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022), launched in May 2022 after a multi-year revision, establishes 11 principles and 62 criteria across three key sustainability pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance. These pillars address critical issues within the aluminium sector, such as biodiversity, Indigenous Peoples' rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
