Novelis is about to get documented in an Emmy Award-winning series by John Holden called EARTH that airs on Fox Business Network. The docu-series releasing on March 19 - at 5 p.m. ET, will showcase how Novelis produces low-carbon aluminium, propagating a green economy.
{alcircleadd}The story of this particular episode revolves around Ansys and how it helps create better, greener processes for companies like Climeworks. Then it shows how Novelis produces its flagship low-carbon aluminium Al:sust™ before turning toward CIAC’s contribution to the chemical industry. The episode then talks about Zehnder’s clean air solutions and InQube’s recyclable apparel.
From a broader perspective, the EARTH episode wishes to document extraordinary feats of achievements in the recycling sector. At the beginning of the episode, we find John travelling to extremely cold Iceland to view “Orca”, a technologically advanced direct air capture and storage plant designed by Climeworks in partnership with Ansys.
The co-host Andrea Ocampo illustrates Novelis’ persistent techniques to create a low-carbon aluminium compound with the largest recycling content. The episode then goes on to draw a specific process-related discourse of the company on how it not only nurtures the idea of sustainability but also applies it in daily life, inducing a circular economy, where the primary aluminium once produced keeps coming back for recycling processes and stays intact in the loop.
Novelis is one of the world’s biggest recyclers of aluminium cans, transforming almost 80 billion annually. The company provides world-class, superlative solutions for the automotive, aerospace, beverage and other speciality sectors.
The EARTH episode then displays the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada’s (CIAC) “Responsible Care” programme that is relentlessly helping the chemical industry become a pollution-free, carbon-less, circular economy. John also talks about Zehnder’s Clean Air systems that have helped plenty of organisations with a better work environment and clean air. Lastly, he journeys to Sri Lanka to find out about InQube, an apparel brand that is developing durable clothes and encouraging the community to recycle them.
The docu-series EARTH with John Holden practically analogues the various environmental initiatives around the planet that might not show immediate effect after implementation but would result in a greener circular economy in the long run. To be documented in this series means the work Novelis is doing with its low-carbon aluminium is commendable.
