Rescom’s has purchased a cape bauxite shipment from Guinea for Anrak Aluminium’s alumina refinery and is expected to reach India in October 2021, as reported by a higher official.
{alcircleadd}Rescom Mineral Trading Fze, a mineral, mining, processing and trading company headquartered in Dubai, UAE and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rescom (Switzerland) AG has entered into a strategic partnership with Anrak Aluminium Ltd, India.
Anrak alumina refinery with a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of alumina is located in Visakhapatnam, east coast of India.
A transnational business group Rescom, with four decades of experience in the minerals value chain across trading, processing of industrial, fuel minerals and other major commodities started its UAE operations in 1985.
The Company is one of the largest mineral and metal conglomerates in the GCC and the Asia Pacific regions. The group has an industrial presence in India, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
The Anrak alumina refinery project remained in the limelight due to bauxite supply complications from the state of Andhra Pradesh, however, it was later decided that bauxite will be imported from outside or sourced from Odisha.
The official further revealed that the refinery is planned to start commissioning in Q4 2021 and subsequently, alumina shall be up for sales.
